Caldwell (Tex) and Ramirez (Fla) win P.O.W. award
It's the 3rd time that the American League Player of 
the Week award goes to Texas' shortstop <a href=p386.html>Andrew 
Caldwell</a>. He had an on base percentage of .464 
and hit .462, while driving in 5 runs. This year Caldwell 
drove in 10 and scored 11 runs while batting .373 with 
2 homeruns. The National League Player of the Week 
award goes to <a href=p998.html>Luis Ramirez</a>, Florida's 
starting first baseman. In 22 at bats he hit .591 with 
6 HR and 16 RBI. While compiling an on base percentage 
of .482, Luis hit .420 and slugged .960. He has collected 
20 runs batted in this year. He's 3rd in the National 
League in batting, 1st in homeruns and 1st in RBI!
